Snow Babies: Ryan's Third Birthday!

Ryan turned three on January 8th! He had been talking about his birthday for weeks. We celebrated with cupcakes at school that day and a family birthday party that night. Ryan was so excited to see everyone! He may have been a little confused as to why he was getting presents though...when Aunt Jacki was getting ready to leave he said "Merry Christmas!" In his defense...we did still have our Christmas tree up :)

The following weekend we continued the celebration with a party with Ryan's friends. We invited a few of his friends over to the house for pizza, cupcakes, and fun! We started the party outside since the weather was actually pretty decent. The kids played on the swing set for about 30 minutes while everyone arrived. Next we headed up to the third floor of our house to play in a party room full of balloons, Thomas decorations, tunnels, forts, and the futon mattress. The kids had a blast playing with the balloons. Eventually they found our stash of books and many of them settled in with adults to read some stories...including a project management manual that one of the kids found! After playtime we went downstairs and had some pizza, juice, and cupcakes. We finished out the evening by decorating door hangers with stickers. By that time not all of the kids were interested in our craft, but it seemed like everyone had a great time! Ryan is so lucky to have such special friends!
