Luckily Hurricane Earl hit before we were scheduled to come down here, so all of the bad weather is gone and we're looking forward to a relaxing week at the beach! It's Ryan's first trip to the beach, and so far he seems to like it.
The trip down on Saturday didn't take too long, but we had to wait quite a while for the house to be ready once we got here. Unfortunately we've had quite a few problems with the house - mostly related to it not being cleaned very well and a wet carpet (from the storm) that started to smell like mold. They came today to clean the carpet though, so hopefully our house troubles are over.
Saturday we spent the evening unpacking and playing with the boys. We were all pretty tired from a long day, so we didn't do anything too exciting. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures from Saturday...so we'll start with Sunday :)
Sunday started with a morning walk on the beach and a quick photo shoot...
After our morning nap and lunch we headed out for an afternoon on the beach. Ryan seemed to like the sand (tried to put it straight in his mouth!) The water was pretty cold, so we didn't get in much. We did get Ryan's feet wet though.
Next up was some playtime at the house. Jaden has already started crawling, climbing, and pulling up, so we had the baby fences up to keep the boys under control.
Sticking your tongue out seems to help you concentrate...
The boys kept smiling and giggling at each other and then holding hands (and sometimes giving kisses)...too cute!
Our house has a pool that we've explored a little bit. So far it has been way too cold for most of us. Ryan got in for a few minutes, but wasn't too happy about it because of the cold. Hopefully it will warm up as the week goes on. We have been enjoying the hot tub and outside shower though!
