I'm a little late, but we celebrated Ryan's 8 month birthday while we were on vacation at the beach. Here are some of the fun developments from month 8 -- Talking - continues to say "da da" - Still no "ma ma," but we're working on it!
- His "dancing" move - when he's sitting up sometimes he'll start bouncing and it looks like he's bopping along to some music.
- Sometimes (maybe on accident) when he's sitting up he can transition to his belly.
- No crawling yet, but he can turn in circles and scoot backwards - unfortunately backwards is usually not the direction he wants to go!
- He is starting to realize when we leave the room or when we take a toy from him, and isn't afraid to let us know about it.
- He's learned this adorable pout when something isn't going his way, and it usually turns into a really pathetic cry (see video below...if you can take it)
- It looks like he's inherited my tongue and he's learning how to do some pretty crazy twisty moves with it.
- Standing up - he loves to pull himself up to a standing position with the help of holding our hands.
- Blowing raspberries - he's known how to do this for a while but has started doing it so much more - mostly when he's hungry or tired.
- Growling - this is what daycare has started to call the grunting/squealing noise that he loves to make :)
- New foods - broccoli, apples with cinnamon, green beans, plums, peaches
