February Update

What a fun month it's been!  Drew has been sleeping more (consistently 5-6 hours at a time and most recently 8 hours last night!), Ryan has been potty training like a champ, and we've had fun celebrating the Super Bowl and Valentine's Day!

Two Months Old!! 

Drew is already two months old!  Here are some highlights of his second month...

• He weighs 11 pounds, 13 ounces and is 21 1/2 inches tall. 
• He's been sleeping very well.  He gets his last bottle for the night around 7:30 and goes anywhere from 5-7 hours before waking up for another bottle.  Then he goes back down for another 3-4 hours. 
• He's eating about 4 ounces every 3 hours during the day.
• He's still very gassy and I'm beginning to wonder if he's dealing with some reflux issues too.  We've got a question out to the pediatrician on that front.
• He smiled for the first time on Feb. 24th!  I didn't get to see it, but Daddy did!
• He's just now starting to really make eye contact and starting to study our faces.  He's a little behind in this area since he was five weeks early.
• He's starting to make some new cooing noises which are very cute. 

As for Ryan, he's had quite a few changes this month too!  He started a new daycare and has been doing very well.  He's starting to learn some of his new friends names and seems to really enjoy the new class.  He's also started the process of potty training.  After very little progress, we switched to big boy underwear on President's Day weekend and he's done pretty well.  After a couple of rough days with lots of accidents he finally had success that Monday!  The last two weeks have been not bad on the #1 front (with only an accident or two each day) and pretty bad on the #2 front (with all accidents).  This past weekend though I think it's finally starting to sink in!  Yesterday was our first day with no accidents and I'm hoping that's the start of a new trend!  He's so proud of himself and we're proud of him too!  Can't believe our little boy is so grown up!
