Fun Birthday Weekend!

This weekend was full of excitement. We started off the weekend with a quick trip to Northern Virginia on Saturday morning to see our good friends Andy and Maureen and their son Adam. Adam has grown up so much since we saw him last...he's crawling!! And he's as cute as can be. We're hoping he'll teach Ryan all of his tricks! Here are some pictures of the boys:


Saturday was my birthday, so once we got back to Richmond we celebrated with a crab cake dinner, chocolate chip cookies, and some presents. Not only did Ryan give me a full night sleep the night before my birthday, but he also had a few tricks up his sleeve. This is how I found him when I walked into the guest room to open presents...

His present to me included a couple of spatulas and whisks - just what I wanted!

On Sunday, Chris spent the day smoking some pork butts and we had our friends Jennifer and Jona and their daughter Lucy over for dinner. Lucy is such a sweetheart and was walking and crawling all over the place. Luckily for us she loved it when Morgan licked her face and hands...otherwise we would have had a very upset toddler on our hands - Morgan was very excited to see her as well as their dog Gus! At the end of the night both Ryan and Morgan were exhausted!
